A lot of time has been taken to research and trial the ideal fabric for our essentially bub range. In the end it was simple – to us, no other fabrics felt so luxuriously soft, whilst offering so many protective qualities for our little ones and their delicate skin.

Bamboo is a natural textile made from the pulp of bamboo grass; maintaining numerous inherent qualities in the fabric.

Breathable & Absorbent

The unique cross-section of the bamboo fibre is filled with micro-gaps and micro-holes.; a structure that allows ventilation and draws moisture away from the skin, to help keep the skin more cool and dry.

Simultaneously breathable and insulating; Bamboo fabric helps to keep Mum and bub cool in warmer climates, and warm in cooler conditions!

UV Protective

Bamboo fibres are naturally resistant to UV rays; a critical quality that carries through the processing of the plant into viscose for fiber. Studies show that this inherent quality can allow bamboo material to achieve a UPF rating and block more than 98% of harmful UV rays.

Biodegradable

Bamboo fabric can be biodegraded in soil by micro-organisms and sunlight.

Natural & Sustainable

Bamboo is a more sustainable and economical fibre than most other textiles.

The bamboo plant itself is one of the fastest growing plants in the world, with some species of bamboo growing more than 1 metre per day! It does not require replanting; it will grow a new shoot from its existing extensive root system with no need for additional cultivation. Very little is wasted in the harvesting of bamboo; virtually every part of the plant is used to make a wide variety of products.

Bamboo does not require fertiliser, pesticides, or herbicides to thrive, so cultivation does not add chemicals to the environment when farmed and harvested sustainably.

Quality Assurance

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a global certification for textiles tested for harmful substances. It signifies customer confidence and high product safety.

Our bamboo fibre is OEKO-TEX®100 certified and approved for Product Class 1. This product class is the strictest of all four classes in the OEKO-TEX®100 certification process, testing items for babies and infants up to three years of age.
